We have hot water again!  We realized this afternoon that we didn't have any hot water - I went to get a bath and had cold water!!  Luckily it was just the bottom heating element needed to be replaced.  Only cost us about $40!!  $20 for a new element and we paid our neighbour $20 to replace it. Of course Walt helped.  Whole lot cheaper than hiring a plumber.

Just had a glorious weekend at my neice's wedding.  Out at a beach in a baeutiful church - well, outside the church actually in the sun.  Then a stunning marquee looking out at the sea - and a couple of nights with lovely relations and great food and drink.  What more can you ask for??

My positive is that I made the long drive to Indiana with no incidents and got the major part of an interesting book finished (audible book).

I made a pot of chicken soup for Carl's dinner before I left (I had gourmet fare from Wendy's!  :rofl;)

We'll be able to have left-overs tomorrow night so I don't have to worry about cooking after the long drive home.

I have an hour or two to do some boring computer work before turning in tonight. Life is good!   :clap;

wahoo.  Life is good.  I might even go on the excercycle in a while...maybe...

Upgraded my hand weights today from 2 pounds each to 5.  I carry them during my 2 or 3 miles on the treadmill.  The 2 pounders were too easy, and I need to get some tone back in my arms, too.

I now have limp noodle arms!  It's still a good thing, though - the two pounders were too much when I got back from the hospital.

        Several positives today.
        First was finally able to get on IHD from dialysis.  Wasn't sure I'd make it.

        Second Des is back and I hope feeling much better.   :yahoo;

         Dan has a striped ass   :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

        It has warmed up, well not as mich as yesterday though, and rain is washing away our ice from the winter storm

        My wife had yesterday off and a two hour delay this morning, due to the ice still on the roads.  She teaches. I've noticed we have several teachers on IHD.

        And my time at dialysis, for today, is now over.  I get to go home.   :yahoo;

I had enough energy to do laundry and a bit of cleaning today.  :cheer:

My 3-year-old told me what 'extinct' means this evening. He said in an ominous sotto voce that "it's when the last member of a species is dead". 8) I didn't ruin the moment by asking him to define species.
