Had a massage today - yay.  Also went to my physio who thinks I'm doing amazingly well considering where I was a year ago - it's ice to have someone remind you of that sometimes!

Getting the heck out of town.

« Reply #1476 on: January 14, 2010, 07:54:27 AM »

My positive today is that it is raining just a little and cleaning out the air to allow me some clearer thought process.  Also, I'm really glad my Christmas tree and lights are still up because in the rain and kind of dark, the soft light are really comforting.  I'd  do it in February.

Ohhh! Having Monday off, here, too....

Thanks for the reminder.

But my REAL positive for today is that I finally have a contract with the university for developing Montessori courses for them. And even better - they are going to pay me for the time I have put in just getting to this point! Hoorah!

I feel a shopping spree coming on.  :rofl; :rofl;

Oh, Dan. It is more like a survival!  :rofl;

I don't share the negatives in the positive thread, but this is the second year I've been working for nothing. I really needed that income.  :2thumbsup;

That is the down side of running a business. When the economy goes south, so does the income.  :rofl;

My husband got a check today, so I was able to replace a bit of our small savings that we have had to raid recently. Also, I finished writing out the thank you card to my former doctor who is dying of cancer. I feel better having that completed.

It is almost that time of day when the kids are in bed and my husband and I can do our little evening clean up while reflecting on this truly bizarre day.

An out of work friend came to use my high speed internet today.  He fixes computers and does a little web design for a little extra cash.  We decided on a whim to run down to the newly opened used book store while he waited for a download.  He found a good reference book on web design.  When we paid up, the store owner started chatting with him about web design.  The guy runs the bookstore as a second job - he has 70 plus website clients and needs help.  I got 4 good books, and my friend may have a full time job!
