Between the two of us, my pharmacist and I finally figured out the computer and paperwork glitch that was leaving me paying full price for my blood tester strips, in spite of Medicare, BCBS, and Medicaid.  I get to go back in and get a refund!  And they will be sending me more money in the mail for the ones I bought the last two months.  Hooray!  I've been spending 10% of my income on testers - now I'm down to a tiny little copay.   :bandance;

yey Jbeany! That is always a good thing.  Those tester strips cost a arm and a leg. Matthews mom dosn't have any insurance so we buy her some when we can.  I am very happy you get your money back  :cheer:

Whheeeee!  I  left dialysis my lightest weight ever, without any crashing.  I am now only 1/2 a pound away from having a BMI in the "overweight" category instead of "obese".  I left with a high enough blood pressure that I'm sure I can challenge my weight even more on Monday, and get the rest of the way to my goal.  :bandance;  Only 1/2 a pound to go!!!!!!  (Then I reset my goal - I've got 40 more pounds to lose to hit the "normal" category, but I'm going to celebrate this goal first!)

And, I got my refund on my blood tester strips.  Lighter butt, fatter wallet - now that's a good day!

Jbeanny, that makes my heart sing for you on both counts! :bandance; :bandance;

Soooo. I'm really working on my positive. The donor who was denied is going to challenge the denial. So, that door is not completely closed.

AND, it is Friday, and the weather is beautiful, and we are half way through dialysis for today, and it was a really good day at school today, so, yeah, I CAN find those positives.  :clap;

Let's see what could the positive be today?? I have crocuses that are finally out in bloom.  Daffodils  and tulips are popping through the ground.  They should get a good boost this weekend with the higher temps. Then Monday temps are back down to just abve freezing!!!

My positive for today is that we had a wonderful dinner with our potential donor (who was denied yesterday) and she is going to fight, fight, fight to make it happen. (She was denied due to an incident that happened in her life 20 years ago!)

Just having friends like that is wonderful.

It was a beautiful warm day today.  got outside and cleaned leaves and junk out of 2 flower beds and raked a lawn. What a pile of leaves!!!  The lawn looked good until we decided to burn the leaves and old grass and caught the lawn on fire.  We just let it burn (some people here burn their lawns every year to get them to grow but we don't) with the garden hose in hubby's hands and me in the flower bed stamping out flames so that they wouldn't damage any plants!!  That lawn is cleaned (even though it is now black LOL) Only 2 more lawns to do and 5 more flower beds!!!!!

Today was granddaughter, Paxton's, birthday party. 20 kids at a rock star party.  Kareoke, colored hair spray, drums, guitars, hot dogs, popcorn machine, and dress up clothes.  What fun!  Turning 6 rocks!   :bandance;   It was a nice party and the kids had a great time.  Then Beth took her Dad and me to the Gaither homcoming concert in Greensboro.  So for 4 hours we heard old, favorite hyms, new one, ones that filled us with memories.  Lots of humor, mixed with good entertaining.  You have to be a very hard person to leave the concert in a bad mood and grumpy----it was just too much fun and filled with joy to be in a bad mood.      On the not so positive side--during my nightly throwing up, I slipped in our bedroom and couldn't stop the fall. So I fell full face into the hardwood floor. My stomach hurts from throwing up, now my body hurts from being slammed to the floor.  My husband wakes us and asks if I am dizzy!  I crawled back into bed and licked my wounds and tried to sleep!   But the day got much better.  :thumbup;

I just took a stroll around the yard with my husband, enjoying the newly mowed grass, the balmy breeze and the peacefulness of the evening. So restoring.

I was being stupid and thought I could see in the dark in the middle of the night.  I can't!  I did a lovely swan dive onto the floor.  Maybe I will invest in some night lights  :rofl;

Positive thought, my son's wedding is in two weeks.  I am positive I will be glad when it is all over.   :2thumbsup;
