Let me know how they turned out tyny.

They turned out pretty good but I think the 2nd batch turned out better than the 1st.   I think if I make them again, I will put a tad bit more of vanilla in my mix.   I could not taste the vanilla in them at all and I like the taste of vanilla so I might try that next time.     :waving;

Dan's rain from Texas made it to Tennessee and it makes me just want to cozy up with a good book and something warm to drink.

It was 72 degrees at the beach today when I left.  That's my perfect temperature.

I just spent five days of spring break with my sister's youngest son.  I have loved him and his older brother like my own children since they were born.  It was so absolutely wonderful to spend this time with him (my sister's family lives 1 1/2 hours away, and I only get to see the "boys" about once a month or so).  Of the two, this younger one is more like me (stubborn, opinionated, speaks his mind, but is so much fun to be around).  I cherish every minute spent with these two special nephews.

Now, I'll get teary-eyed.  Tyler is off to college next year, and I know I'll see him less (it happened with his older brother -- I only get to see him 3-4 times a year but I do talk to him often on the phone and internet).  I'm sad to see Tyler grow up, but I'm so glad I've been a part of his life...

...to be positive again -- We've had a great relationship all these years, and I am so thankful for that.

Saturday I went to a parent's breakfast at A&M and my son let me hug and kiss him and he sat by me-
then he signed autographs with the team - I got to cut in line since I have a son on the team -
I told the offense players that Bubba is my son and they all stood up and shook my hand -
then we watched the maroon and white game and it stopped raining so it was at Kyle Field -
and parents had special seats -- and the offensive maroon team won -- Bubba's team -
and we talked to his adviser and Allen is one of the four players with the hardest major -
he is right at the grade point where he can still stay in engineering -- he has an A or B in the hardest math class , but he has a 60 in an easy gender class -  ???
my husband had the time of his life - it was one day I did not let PKD run my life---- >:D

Good for you Twirl.  You have every right to be proud of your son's accomplishments.  You raised him right!   AND fed him well!  You must be feeling better.  I've been worried!

Twirl, I'm glad you had such a good outing at A & M.  Also glad to see you back.  But  I'd be even more glad if it wasn't the "maroon" but the good guys in the "orange".

Yeah, I'm glad to see twirly, too!

I also lost more weight - I left center today down another 0.2, and I didn't crash, in spite of having more fluid on than normal - so I can challenge some more on Wednesday.   :bandance;

My bacterial culture came back negative finally! It's about damn time!! Since being listed on February 19th, with the exception of 5 days, my status on the list has been put on hold the entire time. I'll never get a transplant at that rate!

Aaaah, Jbeany,
There is nothing like home after the perpetual non-sleep of the hospital!

I'm so glad for you!  :yahoo;

My positive for today is that all the kids in my class are busy with many, many different learning activities. It is a pleasure to look around and see all the joyful learning!
