Thank You Manda! No, I don't think it effected anyone that I know of..........at least I have not heard that it did, yet. I am a little bit scared of tornadoes too, considering I was in one, April 3 1974. I lived in Huntsville, AL then and I was 4 years old and even tho, I don't remember it, I have a scar across my forehead to prove I was
literally in one
. Those "redneck stories" (and I am a PROUD redneck) from people who say, "yeah, I was in one once......stood on my back porch and watched it go right over our house" always kill me
because my thinking is............unless you have scars to prove you were "in one", you haven't really been "in one".

Got on the transplant list - Halloween Day 2008
You can easily judge the character of others by how they treat those who they think can do nothing for them. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE SOOOOO TRUE!

My pth came down to almost normal levels, so no immediate surgery - hurray!
I've been back in my crafting mode, with only 5 weeks left until the flea market. I finished 4 stuffed pigs today while sitting at dialysis. I like that I can sit in that chair and do something that makes money.

It was a wonderful Easter. Moving church service, lovely dinner with family and now in pajamas watching Amazing Race.

The girls came over today and we got to give them their Easter baskets. I haven't seen them since they and their parents moved out of our house in March so it was really nice to see them again!

Taxes are done and we get refunds from state and federal ---- thanks to all the medical deductions! We figured we would owe some--so any amount in black is better than in the red!

I'm really enjoying my sister's visit. We don't do much, the odd walk now and then but it's still quite cold here and she's from Florida. We drink tea and play scrabble in between chatting about everything under the sun. We cook and eat and reminisce about our childhoods and are grateful for our relationship with each other and also for the one with my brother whom we both adore. She leaves tomorrow, back to her very busy life as the owner of a hair salon. We always enjoy one another.

The cabinets I had special ordered for my kitchen (above the fridge cabinets) that were supposed to arrive in three weeks, arrived in TWO!
Now I have to wait for my "Mr. Fix-It" man to come back.
But he will!!

Whoops- came home after dialysis for my normal 2 or 3 hour nap, and slept 7 hours straight. Not sure why I needed so much sleep today, but it felt good not to have to get up and run around getting things done.
On the bright side - I'll be down on fluid gains since I slept half the day and wasn't tempted to drink anything. . ..

Saturday was the first night away from home with the cycler. Worked great, no alarms. Only problem
was having to sleep on wrong side of the bed, hard to do after 34 years.

I had a great work out at the gym. A friend of mine came. I had not seen her for awhile. Then dinner at the Peruvian restaurant. MMMMMM. A great evening!

The sun is making an appearance today and we are suppose to get up to 50 degrees. Vermonters are coming out of hibernation. It is a beautiful sight to see.
(and there is a Rod Stewart song playing on my mp3 player right now - start of a great day)

I went out for my monthly lunch date with two very good girlfriends (we were all family therapists together for several years) and it was so great to feel once again as if I was back in my "real" life. Well all my lives, dialysis or whatever are very real to me, so maybe I should say my preferred life. I had a delicious piece of sesame encrusted salmon on a bed of asian green mango and jicama salad with a spicy yogurt dressing. Then I bought some beautiful Lady Grey tea with dried lemon, orange and rose petals to take home. Ahhh, life is good.
