Life is great!

Sorry guys I haven't been around but I am having a lot of teething problems with the dialysis.  I am fine with the process, doing my own needles etc but I am having a few issues.  Instead of losing fluid on dialysis I am putting it on.  Last Friday I did five hours on 300 pump but still taking off little fluid.  I am really stable with my dry weight but on Friday night after I got home from dialysis my legs and stomach were really bloated with fluid retention and my blood pressure was through the roof.  Over the weekend everything went back to normal but then after two hours of dialysis today my legs all filled with fluid and again my blood pressure went through the roof.  They took me straight off.  I feel 100 percent better after not having dialysis for 2-3 days.  I see my neph on Wednesday so I am not going back to dialysis until after I have seen her.  My creatinine and urea after three days off dialysis is better than straight after dialysis.  They think I might be allergic to the particular kidney they are using but they said they have never seen anyone put on so much fluid during a session.  It is all a bit weird.  I hope they can sort it out because from where I am sitting I felt a million times better before I ever started dialysis.

They are looking at taking me off altogether for a couple of months - or giving me the bare minimum - because they said there may be a chance that my own kidneys have kicked in again and my body is trying to overide the dialysis.  Anyone ever heard of that?  Anyhow, sorry I haven't been around but I have really been feeling like crap but I will let you know what is happening after I see my neph on Wednesday.

Take care, love always.  xx

nothing's ever straight forward with you Lucinda is it???  :rofl; :rofl; :rofl;

I think i said in another post that of anyone I knew who COULD get kidney improvement like this it would be you so yeah it does happen - but is very rare. That is so odd that you would put ON fluid during the procedure unless somehow you were taking on saline?!?! Seems very weird to me. Lucky you to maybe reduce or stop D for awhile... amazing!!!

clearly I need to hang out more with you and hope some of that good kidney karma can rub off on mine!!!! Who knows, could be a new growth business.. bottle the essence of Cindy and sell it for $1000/bottle!!!  :rofl;
