If you turn on the computer in my office and the heater under my desk, then try to run the vacuum on the same circuit. Kapow, a tripped circuit breaker.

That's my house!

kitkatz----- if your house could talk, we would know you way better ----- and have some good laughs -- you are a funny person

my house --   would tell you I get along better with my three children if I never go upstairs -- their three bedrooms, a two room bathroom, and a long hall way ( with God only knows what is in that hall and they can not blame anything on Sad Sack now )

Oh yes they are  :rofl;
I know what you mean about children's bedrooms, I never go in mine if I can help (not exactly children at 23 and 25) - my Mum went in Matt's once when we were away and seriously thought we'd been burgled!!!

I don't think there is anything in our house that only I know ....... but the boys seem to think only I know how to do the ironing and change the empty toilet roll (and before you picture it, I don't mean at the same time!!).

I - have a basement.

 I live in florida where NOBODY has basements because of the high water table. And yes mine stays flooded often enough to be unuseable.

people dont generally beleive me when I tell them I have one though.

Our house back in the 1800's use to be a saw mill.
After a heavey rain we can hear the river under our house that use to take the sawdust away.

There are two trees in our yard bigger then most any tree i have seen in New Jersey.

I'm the only one who knows how to walk down the hall without stepping on the squeaky spot.

Apparently, kit and I had the same electrician wire our homes.  If you run the dryer, the dishwasher and the treadmill at my house, you get the same Kapow!

I seriously doubt this is something only I know, but thanks to my lab mix, Pup, every time I sweep I could make a whole other dog!  Between his hair loss and my current hair loss thanks to Prograf, you better spray yourself with Pam before coming over to my house or you'll be covered in hair!

In the kitchen, to the left of the stove, there is a rag pinned between dry wall and the 2 x 4 stud. It was open behind because I hadn't installed a cabinet yet. I signed my mistake. If someone ever takes out the pantry cabinet they'll see my "handiwork"

Apparently no one else in my house knows how to scrub the toilet or put up fresh paper!!   :rofl;

When we put the new kitchen floor down, we let everyone write all over the subfloor.  Someday, someone may discover it.

My (best) friend Tony who does masses of work around here for us is the one who knows everything about this old house.  Lee and I are clueless but he has diagrams of the wiring and lots of other knowledge.  We'd be literally lost without him.  Sometimes we have to phone and ask him where the toilet plunger is or stuff like that and he always knows.  Same goes for the cottage.

Twirl & glitter

The inside and outside now look like a house. Only thing that looks weird on the house now is a giant firebell on one of the outside walls.  But i will post some pics.  And Glitter the trees are big for Jersey trees.  Not big like a california redwood.

Somewhere on here i have a video of a snake i found in my yard..  The snake is by one fo the big trees.  Ill try to find the video.

Paris, I'm finally getting my kitchen finished and when Charles' brother-in-law (he's doing the work) took down the paneling behind the cabinets we saw that Charles had written on the sheetrock all the stuff we had done to the kitchen thus far (new floor, cabinets, etc.)  then he signed his name and put the date.  He also wrote. I Love Kelly.     aaawwww!  :)

If you plug the space heater in in the bathroom and and then try to blow dry your hair, it blows the fuse.  In the house I grew up in, in my bedroom closet, the kid that lived there before had signed their name and the dates they moved in and moved out. So when I moved out, I did it too. No one but me knows about it because it was up over the door on the inside and you had to get up on a chair to see it.
