I posted on here way back when.... maybe I'll do it again with some more serious stuff.

Do you mean Cape Girardeau, Missouri... or Illinois.  To the tune of San Francisco:  "I left my tonsils in Cape Giradeau"....

9.) I never wanted to go hunting or fishing, but that doesn't mean I don't know how to do either or care if anyone else does.

5.) I was a member of The Radio Australia's listnes club when I was in high school. Listened to their shortwave broadcasts for years. Always thought the horse racing results were neat.

My hubby always laughs at our accent (he has one of those accents that no one can pick he is an army brat so grew up in a few different countries)

10.) I dated my current wife, before I met my first wife, in college. Things didn't work out. We went our seperate ways to different places too. I "found" her again 31 years later. This time things worked out.

That is soooo sweet!

Anyway on topic 10 more things
1. i'm also a sci fi/fantasy freak... stargate, star trek, dean koontz, stephen king (but NEVER mention the last book of the dark tower....so not happy jan!) firefly etc. my tv is tuned to scifi chanel (i got foxtel just so i could have scifi)
2. i'm a true crime freak as well.... love the Crime chanel and the doco chanels.
3. ancient history was my favourite subject in high school
4. i cannot garden for the life of me.... i can kill almost any plant even with tlc! yet my grandfather was a greenthumb
5. i used to serve a famous australian (nrl) footy player at the first pub i worked at and just to rile him up i pretended i didn't know who he was (he was a god back in the 80's in NSW, back in the days when you went to a fight and a footy match broke out)
6. I have an irrational phobia of holes, but not just any holes.... weird geometric holes clustered together or lotus pods of banksia cones. i feel sick at the sight of them and get all tingly. YUCK!
7. after my son was born i became neurotic. I couldn't let him out of my sight for the first two years becuase i was so scared something would happen. i forced myself to return to work to try and let go a little (i cried if i left him alon with hubby, not becuase i didn't trust hubby but becuase i wasn't in control. My response to renal failure and losing control of my life, i think i micro managed everything else i could) still suffer a little now but i've gotten a lot better.
8. i love spanish food!
9. i make a mean nepali goat curry (yet i don't like goat all that much) my husbands sister in law was jealous becuase i made it better than her!

1.  I'd rather have a little vase of tulips than the most expensive bunch of roses.

2. I love reading kids' books, for the tween years.  They're fast, fun, and entertaining.

3.  I'm a thrift store junkie.

4.  I have a Bachelor's degree with a double major in Physics and English.

5.  The college class I've used the most, and made the most income with, was a blow-off computer art class that I took just for fun.

6.  My sister and I looked so much alike as kids that everyone thought we were twins, even though she is two years older.

7.  I frequently have lucid dreams - the kind where you realize you are dreaming and you can take control and do what you want.  I hate waking up from those!

8.  After years of hating to exercise, I've now become addicted enough that I'm cranky when I can't.  If I could reach, I'd kick myself for taking 30-some years to realize that.

9.  I would have joined the military if I hadn't been a juvenile diabetic.

10.  I thought jumping out of plane was a lot less scary than my first dialysis treatment.

I am very similar to that. I just don't want to be working on computers  because it can become frustrating because I want my projects perfect. I wanted to join the military when they came to my high school to discuss programs, but was told I can't, very disapointing. Last was jumping out of a plane. It was suppose to be a group from work going so we would have had a discounted deal, but as the date approached more and more people chickened out except for me and the person who set it up. So I never was able to go.

10 more things about me.

1.  I've been living with the same guy since I was 17.  We met when I was 16.
2.  I've lived in Jamaica, two different cities in France and two different Canadian provinces.
3.  Two of the most interesting places I've visited (way back in 1975) were Laos and Burma (Myanmar).
4.  I have epilepsy but very controlled.
5.  Doctors gave me 6 weeks to live when I was 8 months old.
6.  I've done 11 white water canoe trips, including one up in the Arctic (the Hood River) in Nunavut.
7.  I went to boarding school at ten years old, for four years, and left because I was almost expelled.  Always questioning the rules and then breaking them if the answers given were unconvincing.  If convinced of the logic or necessity of a rule, I'd help the powers that were to get compliance.
8.  My mother lost a baby two weeks short of her due date.  She was beaten up by a fired dairy worker who poisoned our dogs first so he could access the house.
9.  In another violent incident, my father was chopped with a machete and shot by three men who came to our farm on Xmas Eve morning, 1969.
10. I never returned to our house after that morning .

1) When I was 10 I survived a huge car crash where all other 8 souls perished.
2) After that car crash I was told I wouldn't be able to play piano/percussion anymore
3) I proved them wrong and I am about to graduate with a degree in music

5) my mum and sister are the most important people in my life
6) I believe I have a guardian angel, each time I have went through a really tough time I have this dream of the same lady who takes my hand and smiles and when I wake up I have always felt they courage to continue on and sort out/deal with the problems at hand.
7) the last time I had this dream was a night shortly after I found about that my kindeys had failed, I was confused and angry and considering stupid things but after the dream I woke up determined to make the best of things
8) I have been reading a lot of negative things on the site the last few days but think that this site and those who mantain it (as well as those who offer support) are a godsend and I am completely aware that nothing can be perfect. I am very grateful at having a place where people understand what this illness is like.
9) I have a ridiculous giggle. When I get into a giggling fit I usually make everyone else laugh as well simply because I sound so funny.
10) I have a secret (well not secret now) obsession with Hugh Laurie. I think despite his age compared to mine that he is very hansome  :embarassed:

1- I have never seen snow, and I don't care if I never do. I live for the heat, and it's a damn good thing I live in Arizona

2-I secretly have a MAJOR crush on Bill OReilly, and I wish he wasn't married so I could date him. My friends DIE every time I say that.  :rofl;

3-Sometimes I get really terrified that I could get a kidney from a democrat, and then I would end up liking Obama. KIDDING, but a girl can hope for a republican kidney.  ;)

4-I am very physically fit, and I am a personal trainer. Working out is like being in heaven for me.

5-My Mom is the most amazing woman in this entire universe, and beyond. If I can be 1/4 of the woman she is, I will be doing just fine.

6-I had my heart totally broken on this New Years Eve when my then boyfriend cheated on me, right in front of my very eyes. Ughhhhhh! Two nights later I was in the E.R when my doctor informed me that my kidney failed, and I needed to start dialysis. It sucked!

7-Everyday that I have to do dialysis I think about signing off....It makes me soo angry when people think I don't want to live, it's more like I don't want to live like this.

8-Im VERY sarcastic, and so is my sense of humor. I LOVE to tease, and be teased.

9-I believe in God.

10-My friends are absolutely incredible people who inspire and lift me up every single day. They are funny as hell, and everyday I can spend with them is like having my own personal comedy show. I am a blessed woman.

BONUS 11- I like you!

P.S I really honestly don't care if I get a kidney from a liberal....I just want one! :)

What if you were pretty sure that the kidney was not born in America because it won't show you it's birth certificate? What if that same kidney kept company with known radicals?   :rofl;

I LOVE YOU!  OMG I THINK I'M A LESBEON!  JK  OMG JK
