I keep seeing the other post "Ignorant things people have said to you".

How about good advice, or encouraging stuff, surely some of you have been told things that were really helpful. or amazing advice you have been given. and it doesn't just have to be dialysis related just useful life advice ???.

 ??? ??? :-\

Great idea for a thread, however lets keep it dialysis related or we will have to move this thread to Off-Topic.  :) In fact I think this would be a great Off-Topic thread.

You know what? With recent events that have taken place I think this is perfect and just what we needed!! Thank you for this!!

here is good advice my mom has told me:

  • Not everyone has to like you! Just be YOURSELF!
  • Always talk things out! If you are too mad to talk without trying to hurt the other person, write it out and read it later! Give yourself time to think about how you feel before you blast the other person!
  • Always try to put yourself in the other person's shoes! Life is not always greener on the other side once you have to mow their lawn ...

I've heard something similar...before you judge someone, walk a mile in their shoes.  Then you'll be a mile away AND have their shoes. LOL   ;D

Probably the oldest and most unused advice.  The GOLDEN RULE.

Do unto others as you would want done unto you.( Treat others the way you would like to be treated)

When you are going through hell keep on walking.

You are one hell of an example to others.

If you are going to be worried every time the universe does not make sense you are going to be worried every moment everyday for the rest of your life.  spoken by G'Kar on Babylon5 TV show

Courage does not always roar, sometimes it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying :"I will try again tomorrow."

Duck!
Run!
Get by.
Move it.
Slow down you are going too fast.
Speed up you are going too slow.
Light a fire under your butt.
Put the fire out all the way.

See!
