We Have A New Home!
«

My parents put an offer on a house and the offer was accepted! The house is beautiful! It has 2.5 baths, 3 bedrooms, A beautiful kitchen, a nice dining room, a 2 car HEATED garage with a floor drain, a wood burning fireplace, a huge addition that is now the main living room, and a basement. There is also a huge deck, a big backyard with above ground pool, and that's not the best part even...... there is an IN-LAW apartment that I will be living in! It has a bedroom, living-room , and a bathroom. There is a kitchen but we are going to put the washer and dryer in there so we don't have to carry the laundry up and downstairs. There is a separate entrance as well! Now all there is to do is get through some red tape: get a mortgage, which is already pre
approved, and then we close March 23rd!

I hate moving but it sounds wonderful Karen. You sound excited and somehow that excitement makes all the work moving worth it. Let us know how things are going.

I guess the question is
? did your parents sell their current home? That would be a good thing.

Karen, your own apartment!
Close enough so you don't worry about you Mom all the time and they don't worry about you, but you can come and go and not have to report in to anyone. You can have you own little refuge. I am happy for you whole family. Sounds like an excellent house for all of you.

we had a large above ground pool when the kids were younger
we had an inground one put in when they were in junior high grades
the above the ground pool was so much more fun
I guess it was b/c the children were younger and we played with them all the time

I love new houses (not the moving, of course!)
Could you send me one of the bedrooms, please? Pretty please? Priority Mail? (Okay, standard shipping if that would cost too much)

Congrats!! Moving is always exciting. It's a lot of work, but it's so much fun arranging the furniture, decorating, etc.
Good luck with the new home

Woo hoo!! I know you were excited about it the other night in chat. It sounds wonderful.
And Richard, a half bath means that it doesn't have a tub or shower.
