My DAD:
Cirrohsis at 32 from Hepatitis C,,,,50 Liver Failure from Hep C, 52 Liver Transplant, 2000 Lymphoma from Anti Rejection Meds treated and has been fine.
Present:  Kidney failure from Meds for the liver transplant
Hepatitis C is very very active which is damaging the liver they are worried that he may need a liver transplant to, but until he is strong enough to get the liver biopsy.  And now he is hit with blood infection that he caught in the hospital ( i feel from nurses being not gentle enough with him)....
Started Dialysis Nov 08...Just waiting to see what the miserable Hep C disease is doing to our liver before we can even think about a kidney transplant!!!! :(

Dear Rox,

I miss you, too!   Please know you
and your family are still being sent
prayers your way.

The loss of a beloved parent is one
of the hardest things anyone can go thru
in this life.  I remember well how I felt
when my own Father left us for heaven.

Please be well, and loving thoughts sent
to you and all of your family.

:waving; Roxanne

Thanks for popping in now and again.  We as well miss you here.
Sadly people find this site due to an illness of themselves or a loved one.
But with this site comes friendships that can last a long time from what i have seen.
So please drop by to let us know how you are doing when you can.
Even though you came here to learn from experienced people who have been there, some of us have  as well learned from you and your experiences.
For me it was very touching and nice to see the love you had for your father.
Wishing you all the best.

Hey Roxanne,

I just posted a reply to your previous thread and just saw this (I am still catching up after about a month of not being on the site).  I  realized I haven't been here in a while and missed seeing the familiar names/faces and wonderful posts everyone has. I am so glad you are still posting on here and popping in from time to time.  I hope you and your family are doing well.  I know how hard it is to lose a parent, especially due to circumstances related to kidney disease.

My best piece of advice is to stay as close as possible with your mom and family, and see them as much as possible, especially your mom.  Everyday it hurts, especially on significant days like birthdays, holidays, etc, but your family is what helps you get through it the best you can.

Take care

Sorry I only just saw this.  And to find out that I have the same birthday as your dad! We have a special birthdate-  the only date that counts correctly - 0123!
That fun fact aside, I was so glad to see you post.  I join with the others to beg you to stick with us.

I am moving this to the family thread, because that is what you are to us!
