He is the love of my life......

« on: August 28, 2006, 09:50:04 PM »

Hi everyone :)   I just got a call from a good friend of mine and her son is getting married this Saturday, she has decided she wanted to dedicate a special song to her son and is having trouble thinking of one,  well, i did a little research on the pc (good ol' google) :)  and came up with these:

Wind Beneath My Wings
A Song for Mama
I Turn to You
Hero
What a Wonderful World (my favorite)
Unforgettable
In My Life
You're the Inspiration
Greatest Love of All

Can any of you think of any or can you vote on any of the above that you feel is appropriate for the occasion?  Thanks

Atlantic Star - I will love you so for Always

Peter Cetera with AZ Yet - You're the Inspiration

The Jets - Make It Real

Heatwave - Always and Forever

Elton John - Your Song

Lionel Richie - Say You Say Me

AND THE WINNER IS:

K-C & JoJo - All My Life - http://www.wedj.com/samples.nsf/allmylife.mp3

This isn't your typical wedding song, but how about this...

Nothing Else Matters  - Metallica

It on the self titled or black album.

I went to a Wedding this weekend and When the Father danced with the bride the song was "I Loved Her First" by Heartland

I like the song "From This Moment...."  by Shania for weddings.

You and Sam have married, divorced, married, divorced and may marry again??  WOW - I've heard of that before, but never knew anyone personally.   ;D   Good luck with this one.  Maybe your song should be -  "I'd do it all over again....."

My grandfather said it well: Marriage is 90% vs.10%. Both of you all of the time.  If he is giving 90% to you and you are giving 90% to him, then you got 180% giving to each other. Hot damn the marriage works!

I think a successful marriage is that 180% thing. Makes sense. As for becoming 1, I think both people have to respect each other individuality for it to work. 2 people come from different lives so sometimes it is hard to make it work for a life time. Especially when lives get so busy and you might take each other for granted and even make assumptions or interpretations that are not exact. Always good communication, clarification, helps.

But of course what do I know. I will know better one day when I am married for 25 years :P Or at least 22years like my parents were (before thier separation).

We have been married 23 years  we didn't have a theme song but a 3 year drought broke the day of our wedding so my husband got the DJ to play its a nice day for a white wedding by Billy Idol so that became "our wedding song" .
