Sunday night Bubba killed a coral snake that kept trying to come into our house --- if Sad Sack and Zuko were still here - that snake would have been long gone --- either beheaded by Sad Sack or chased off by Zuko -- Slugger is an indoor and Yogi stays in the backyard  - had it been a king snake we would have not bothered with it --

Are coral snakes poisonous?

We had a king snake as a pet for a few years. And a gopher snake. They were good pets.

Yes they are poisonous.   "Red and yellow kill a fellow.  Red and black friend of Jack".   Coral snakes have the red and yellow bands next to each other.  I hate snakes!  ALL snakes!
