Ooooh, have some mexican for me - refried beans, cheese and more cheese, and a gallon of ice water to wash it down. . . .

Or feed that rodent something!

Thanks everyone.  My creatinine was 71 yesterday, better than Kathy's with both her kidneys...and better than my neph's....how wild is that???  I just had my lunch, a delicious avocado and chopped liver sandwich with arugula on fresh whole grain bread with lots of seeds and a glass of orange juice.  Low fat yogurt and half a banana plus 5 raw almonds for dessert.
I want to cook again and am dreaming about a lamb and veggie with chick peas couscous.  Maybe even tomorrow.

Tonight I cooked dinner for Lee and Kathy and it was fantastic.  I made basmati rice with a chicken, shitake mushroom, onions, red pepper, carrots, baby corn, sugar snaps, water chestnuts, and cilantro stir fry and garnished with a few chopped peanuts.  We also had a delicious salad that Lee made and fresh blueberries for dessert although we've postponed eating the berries because we're full.  I felt terrific cooking but did take a tylenol part way through as the "squirrel" kidney was gnawing a little.  I always cook for my family when we spend the Christmas holidays in Florida and Kathy loves my food so it was an extreme pleasure to feed her again.  Lee is our super shopper and he has been so amazing through all this.  It feels good although a bit surreal to be coming back to life again and I want you all to know how much I wish I could wave my wand and give you each the gift of health again too.  I don't take even one second for granted and remain steadfastly beside all of you in the ESRD struggle.  :grouphug;

I certainly don't plan to disappear Paddbear although I must tell you that I'm looking forward to spending a bit less time in total here, only because I have so much other stuff I want to do.  My connection to all of you is super strong and I'll always need to know how this crap disease is treating each and every one of you.  :grouphug;

The fever started on Mar. 18th - so it's good she's gone into the hospital so they can figure out what's up. Her creatinine is great - so that a very good sign.

 :grouphug; Sending you LOVE and HUGS Gail.
