Just curious if you think Israel is out of bounds for going after Hammas.

What Sluff said. Hammas has been using innocent people for years.  :o

I do not support the tactics of Hamas but I do feel that the story/saga of the Palestinians is a very sad and misunderstood one, particularly in North America, and is a tragic vestige of the horrific and enduring trauma of the Holocaust.  Like so many issues there is much to be debated and the past half a century of history in the Middle East is not nearly as simple as we might like it to be or as we might have been led to believe it is.   It is incredibly complex,  and some of the most interesting discussions on the topic are to be found within Israel itself.  I personally find it far too complicated and nuanced to debate in a forum such as this and find that most people have a woefully insufficient understanding of the region and how the situation there has devolved over time into the mess it now is.  So much of how we see things depends upon our perspectives and in the Middle East those look very different depending on where one is situated.

Israel has been tolerant long enough.  They need to end Hammas' existence.  I'm sorry innocent people are being killed but Hammas should quit hiding out in schools.  If you notice the Media keeps showing the same dead children again and again as if we are to believe there are new ones everyday.

Sorry, but bad people who bread hate need to go.            :Kit n Stik;

The Palestinian people refuse to stop Hamas so they lose any and all rights to complain about being caught up in the actions of Israel to protect itself from missile attacks from Hamas.

If you live next to a terrorist and do not turn him/her in and do not take them out yourself but instead turn a blind eye to them then you best find another place to live because you shouldnt be surprised if that bomb dropped on that terrorist takes you or  yours out also.

And what exactly is your proposal for which other place they should find to live?

And where do you propose Israelites move?  Israel has said many time they could all live together.

Thank you Rerun.  I'm aware of David Hocking and his views.  I repeat, I do not support the tactics of Hamas and I deplore the deaths of any Israeli or Palestinian. I also have  tremendous overall sympathy for the plight of the Palestinians and I'm not fond of knee-jerk reactions of any kind.  Here is another couple of articles which speak to the complexity that is Israel.

BigSky, I don't recall suggesting that the Israelis move anywhere.  All I've said is that this subject is a complex one.

Hmm a nice article ignoring a bit of history I see.

Support terrorists, you get bombs dropped on you.  Go figure.

Also I never said anything about you suggesting the Israelis move.
