Lower arm AV Fistula created- March 2008
On IL transplant list- Oct. 8th, 2008
On WI transplant list- June 25th, 2009
Pediatric 2 kidney transplant- July 6th, 2009 (3/6 antigen match)

Pyelonephritis (began at 8 mos old)
Home haemo 1980-1985 (self-cannulated with 15 gauge sharps)
Cadaveric transplant 1985
New upper-arm fistula April 2008
Uldall-Cook catheter inserted May 2008
Haemo-dialysis, self care unit June 2008
(2 1/2 hours X 5 weekly)
Self-cannulated, 15 gauge blunts, buttonholes.
Living donor transplant (sister-in law Kathy) Feb. 2009
First failed kidney transplant removed Apr.  2009
Second trx doing great so far...all lab values in normal ranges

awesome pic!!! And yeah the "moon face" spells transplant to me... I sure as hell couldn't give a stuff about having a moon face and people thinking it looks weird if it means I have a working transplant and a more normal life!!! Besides the moon look will go away soon enough. You still look gorgeous !!!

I hate the moon face, but it's a small price to pay!   Plus, by the 2nd week in Feb. I'll be down to 10 mg of Prednisone!  Not much longer now!!!!    :clap;  At least at 10 mg the side effects start to go away!

Kelly, you look gorgeous.  I am so glad you didn't cut your hair before surgery.   I love all your curls. 

Nursewratchet great picure.  It really is special to meet a member and spend time with them.   You two look like you had a good time.

I think the picture of both of you looks great.  I think get togethers add so much to the doldrums of day to day existence. I can't wait for 2009 get togethers but hooking up(no pun intended) with other IHDers is exciting.
