Hi all I guess this site seems to be more US based ??
Anyhow I'm from Scotland - was diagnosed this year with APKD , my dad had it and unfortunetly my younger brother and I have it . So I guess we grew up seeing Dialysis on a what seemed like a daily basis and saw the whole bitter sweet part of it - thankfully we are not at that stage yet but it will be in the post at some time ! NLOL
Is anyone else on this site not at that stage yet ? and does anyone else have any knowledge of LPH due to hypertension.
anyhow thought id say hi

Mickey. We have folks on here from all over the world. Glad you found us and we look forward to hearing more from you. There are plenty of people here that are pre-dialysis, check some of the older post or try the search at the top. Bunches of topics to read.

we've been looking for a Scottish representative and here you are. Do an IHD search on "predialysis" and you should find quite a bit.

Hey Mickey you're so fine...... (forgot the rest of the song) Welcome to IHD. I think you are the only one from Scotland. I'm so glad you found us. I'm part Scottish. From the MacMillan Clan. I've gone to the Scottish Games in Woodland, CA as a spectator.
I've been on dialysis on and off for 20 years. I'm glad you are not on it yet.

Hi Mikey,
Welcome. You'll meet a variety of people here, pre-dialysis, hemo, PD, nxstage, transplants, caregivers and family members. One of our members MattyBoy100 is from Dumfries I believe.
I am glad you joined us.

Welcome to our community! And a special welcome from a fellow member of the Commonwealth (from Barbados, living in the British Virgin Islands). Happy to have someone from Scotland. Love that accent!! I work at the Tourist Board where the cruise ships come in here, and this week met a Scot. He plays in a pipe band and wears a kilt. Didn't give me the answer to the question. Could you do that for me?
Anyway, we have many predialysis people here - our own dear Sluff, Administrato,r is predialysis.
This is a great place to be - lots of information, loads of support, and sometimes, barrels of fun. Keep reading and keep posting.
