I just finished pm-ing RichardMel and I was walking out to go to D
and there was Zuko in the garage
and a note was stuck on the gate
it was from the neighbor across the street
apparently, Zuko got shut up in his garage
so to teach Zuko not to come over again - he left him in there for a couple of days
( well, I am not going over there and clean up any poo)
WTH
this man's son goes to my husband's school and my husband coaches him and he is a good kid
WTH
I am so glad to see Zuko
but WTH
my husband is going to be so pissed and I am keeping the note for evidence
WTH
wonder what Rerun would do
or Lola the 99 year old butt kicker

OMG!! Twirl I am SO happy Zuko is home and safe... but OMG what a JERK!!!

What neighbourino should have done in my view is TELL YOU Zuko was there and what he wanted to do and make it up to you. At the very bloody least he would know it was your dear pet and you'd probably be worrying about him!! Very insensitive and cruel to lock him in like that.

I don't like him at all. Damn You Flanders!!!!

But I *am* overjoyed Zuko is OK and home! I bet you gave him so many huge hugs and cuddles you might have been late for Dialysis.. but who cares!!! Now I am crying happy!!

thank you for letting us know....

I can't imagine anyone being that cruel to an animal!!!!  It is unbelievable to me that this heartless neighbor not only did that to your precious Zuko, but also flat-out admitted to torturing the animal.  It seems to me that the neighbor was trying to send you a message, being fully aware that the knowledge of the animal torture would hurt you.  Watch out for this guy, Twirl - something isn't right in his head.

I'd be tempted to contact the humane society and see if they would write a letter about cruelty to animals for you to give to your neighbour.  If Zuko had died it would have been a tragedy but a completely preventable one so I'd call that catslaughter (feline version of manslaughter) and that simply cannot be legal.

The second thing to do of course is this... :Kit n Stik;

What a jerk, but Twirl I'm so glad your kitty is home safe.

I'd be so pissed!  I'd want to call animal control but then they would probably yell at you for not keeping your cat in your yard.  Maybe.... make him a cake with exlax in place of chocolate.  Maybe put round-up in the yard.  Maybe call the police because you hear screaming coming from their house.  Maybe file a law suit because you feel your own life is threatened.... if he would do that to your cat with a note what is he planning for you.

What an idiot!  Hope he never needs a neighbor to help out one day.   He doesn't deserve kindness from anyone.    I am in a really bad mood today and this just put me over the edge.  Wish I could  give him a big  :Kit n Stik;

I left very early for D and after my husband got up he went over to there house
the man said he did not know it was our cat until the little boys who live next door to us told him
I know they have seen Zuko in our yard
they have lived there for 3 - 5 years
Zuko is not himself so I am taking him to the vet tomorrow so I do not have to pay a 15.00 extra charge for coming in with no appointment
what is going on in this world
maybe he thinks my husband did not play his kid enough
well junior high does not have to play with the same rules of the Y
and now my husband is his basketball coach
everyone here made me feel so much better
and I appreicate that more than you will know
I wish Flipbob could return like Zuko and Sad Sack :'(

I would call the humane society.  The laws about cruelty to animals are generally pretty tough.  They ought to at least be able to get the cops to give him a warning.

Twirl, for once I am at a loss for words of what to say or do to your neighbor but I guess the more I think about it, I would see what your husband has to say about the situation.  Has he said he wanted to do anything to this neighbor?   What did he say to this neighbor when he went to his house AFTER the neighbor "said" he did not know it was yall's cat?   Anywho, I am sooooo relieved you have Zuko back!!!     :bandance;
