1993 diagnosed with glomerulonephritis.
Oct 41, 2007 - Got fistula placed.
Feb 13, 2008 - Activated on "the list".
Nov 5, 2008 - Received living donor transplant from my sister-in-law, Etta.
Nov 5, 2011 - THREE YEARS POST TRANSPLANT!  :D

Her surgery was scheduled for 7:30 am, but we know how that can go. Hopefully she's in recovery and getting some good rest.

Admin for IHateDialysis 2008 - 2014, retired.
Jenna is our daughter, bad bladder damaged her kidneys.
Was on in-center hemodialysis 2003-2007.
7 yr transplant lost due to rejection.
She did PD Sept. 2013 - July 2017

Vandie - glad to hear you are home and on the mend.  I've also been there - done that - unfortunately the hard way with the gall bladder.  but it will bring peace to eating for you.

Thank you everyone.  I love you guys!

I came home yesterday afternoon.  The hospital is not a place to stay when you want rest.  I've been sleeping better and the pain is slightly less.  I have to be off work through next week, so I have plenty of time to mend.  Thank you again for all of your good wishes.  Another reason I love this place so much.
