My husband has been having unpredictable and intermittent symptoms of neuropathy - cramping, prickling and tingling pain in his extremities for several months -- usually after he has done something physical like wash the car, or cut the grass.  At the last visit the neph gave him a sample of Lyrica.

He has done some fairly heavy cleaning the past couple of days and has taken half of the recommended dose the last two nights.  He said he really can't tell that it made any difference in his sleep pattern (still up awake most of the night) but it may have helped with the neuropathy symptoms.

I am concerned because the first caution is " ...Tell your doctor if you have or had kidney problems or dialysis..." and number 3 is "...low blood platelet count..."

Anyone else taking this?

Joe has been taking it for his restless legs.  No problems so far that I am aware of, although he has been having insomnia lately that they now prescribed Ambien for.  Sorry that's not really a lot of help.   :)

Yeah, it is.  ;D  Glad to know someone else had a Neph who thought it was a good idea.  Thanks, Sara.
