Atlantic City NJ has great casinos.  And beautiful beachs and is very close to NYC and Philadelphia.

Vegas is Ok.  But so darn hot.

That's why October was selected. Surprisingly enough, it was COLD this time. Highs in the 60s and 70s, and lows in the 50s and 40s. We are the proud owners of a new lined jacket and a new fleece! Who woulda thought.

The cruise sounds like a great idea.  Actually, Davita does sponser cruises.  My clinic sent 2 people last year.  They had to write an essay, or something.  I could go and do the treatments :cheer:  Either way, you could probably get a group rate...

Lori Hartwell had mentioned again about maybe we could coordinate a meet-up with one of her patient education meetings - we should check the calendar on RSNHope.org and see if anything looks feasible. Might be fun.

How about the Poconos in PA?

It was talked about in chat of meeting in Pittsburg with Joe Paul, Paddbear, Myself, and a couple others in the PA/Ohio area for a weekend. That I could drive in about 7 hours from IL on a good sunny day.

I can do the Ohio/ Pennsylvania area.  I am sitting in frozen eastern Ohio right this minute.  I've been visiting my brother and sister for a week and am ready to go back to warmer weather!

If we decide on a definite "yes" for San Antonio in May 2009 let me know ASAP so that I can begin looking into hotels and activities.  We can get combination tickets for both Sea World and Fiesta Texas if anyone is interested.  There are really cool water parks at both locations!  The Texas "wave pool" is rocking at Fiesta Texas!

I have a speaker in mind, as well.  I just have to contact her.  Bobbie Wager, AAKP President.  She would be a great speaker and believe she said she'd do it (told a friend of mine).  I haven't talked to her directly.

I'm sure Nursewratchet will pitch in and help me with some activities and organization, as well as anyone else in the S.A./Texas area that would like to help out.

I might be able to make one of these gatherings at some point and, wow, the airfares are incredible right now...

from my airport to:
 Nashville TN $294
 San Antonio TX $204 (woa!)
 Myrtle Beach SC $275
 Los Angeles CA $418
 Daytona Beach FL $240
 New Orleans LA $262
 Savannah GA $240
 Pittsburgh PA $181
 Atlantic City - no flights from here? - might be 8 hours away by car

Any month is fine with me.  And, no, you can't miss your son's wedding.  That would be brutal!

Paris, did I read you're going to Paris for the entire month of Feb?    I am soooo jealous!!!

The airfare for me to San Antonio in May looks like it would be about $320? Not sure why it's so high from So. Cal.
May would be tough because my daughter is graduating high school the first week in June and they have crammed in a million activities in May.

Kellyt, that would be the lovely AlohaBeth.  She leaves in a couple of weeks.  Off to visit her friend and explore more of France.  Ahh, what a life!   I think she has taken her lead from Monrein!  (that is a good thing!).   Most of my activities revolve around IHD meet ups!   :rofl;

Paris, you can plan a trip to visit me anytime!  :bandance;   It doesn't have to be an IHD meeting!  Once I'm cleared for flight maybe I'll schedule a visit to you!  Wouldn't that be fun!  I have two more IVIG treatments and they are one in Feb and one in March.  I'm working through January (maybe into the first two weeks of Feb).

Did I tell you I pulled up your address on Google Earth?  Looks beautiful (aerial view, anyway.  I can only see the top of your roof and some trees).   :rofl;

Don't trust Google Earth on my addy, the area I live has changed so much and Google hasn't updated the streets and views for over 3 years. :urcrazy;

If I see Joe paul in chat tonight, I'll have to ask who he was thinking of for a meet in the east in PA area.
