Samhainophobia refers to an abnormal and persistent fear of Halloween. This time of year may also stir up other phobias such as the fear of: cats (ailurophobia), witches (wiccaphobia), ghosts (phasmophobia), spiders (arachnophobia), the dark (nyctophobia), and cemetaries (coimetrophobia).

No problems here. I have a black cat (Boudreaux), my high school colors were orange and black, and I've dated a number of witches.

Me too!  I have a "cousins" Halloween party for the grandkids.  No parents allowed!  Lots of scary things, dry ice, creepy music, costumes.   And they all spend the night.   We have fun.

Halloween is a late addition to the culture over here (blame US television), but there is no trick or treating, except in small communities where lots of Americans live.  However, our supermarkets are all decorated.  One of them has an annual 'Guess the Pumpkin's Weight'  with a giant pumpkin from the US (we don't have that orange kind here).  And recently, some silly boys have started a habit of pelting cars with eggs as they drive past.
I must say Halloween is not a favored cultural import for me, sorry.
