Hi...my name is Dawn and I am a tech in Florida.  I have been a tech for 14 years and I was an Air Force medic for 7 years prior to that.  One of my patients told me about your website today and the first thing I thought was...oh Lord....just what we need.  A negative perspective growing wild.  But then I got here and realized it is not that at all.  It appears to be a good thing.  A place for patients to learn, but also to gripe.  And to my surprise... a place for the medical professional to do the same.  Thanks for hosting a great site.

Hello Needlebearer,  Welcome to what i consider to be not only the best website regarding this matter but also the best support group for us patients.  There are even caregivers, friends and family members of those on dialysis here and we are all just learning from each other,  so much info out there, well, now i can say it is "in here"  I sure hope we hear more from you...

Hi Needlebearer, welcome to the site.  You have a lot of experience with us (Patients).  I liked your other post where you gave me a look at the other side.  Patients do need to think outside the box and if they are in trouble, don't go to the kidney center.  Go to ER.

I hope you enjoy the site.

Welcome needlebearer.

I am one of the alternatives to patients that goofynina was talking about.  Actually, I'm angieskidney's boyfriend and I am here tagging along with her trying to learn as much as I can and support her in anyway I can.  I'd sure like to see what you have to say here.

Just adding my welcome to the others.  I am glad that you got a chance to see past our negative-sounding name.  This site has been indispensable in my handling of this challenge called 'dialysis'.  Looking forward to hearing much from you.

Hi and welcome I love the user name, excellent. I am glad you didn't "judge a book by its cover" and you came and checked us out. As you will find out we are the most active dialysis related message board on the internet and we are just over 1 year old. We have a lot of "Dialysis Employees" as members and you are welcome to rant and vent just like we are, either about US or the industry in general. We were spotlighted last month in "Nephrology News & Issues" I'm sure you've heard of it  ;)  Here is a link to the article, check it out: http://ihatedialysis.com/forum/index.php?topic=922.0

Again welcome,
