Hopefully it's just the meds that are causing the creat levels going up. Comon kidney, work!

I have spoken to Charee today. It has been a Roller Coaster ride but is now heading in the right direction. The biopsy last week showed NO signs of rejection. Her creatinine has been all over the place. It is taking a while to drop to a level they are happy with. Today it was 211 down from 213 (Australian numbers) so they did another biopsy! grrr They think it is just being slow. It is producing a good amount of urine, although its not concentrating it as yet. So she is having alot of bladder pressure. She is emotionally exhausted, and is now having to share a room with a loony. A new transplant patient came in so she was moved out of her private room! She is hoping to be able to leave hospital soon. Anne is doing great and was discharged on Saturday. I have an address if anyone would like to send a card. Please PM me and I will forward it to you. She could do with a little cheering up.

Charee is so glad to have so many well wishing visitors with love and hopes for her. Lucinda also let me know she is seeing her and hopefully will take her laptop in so C can login and talk to us all...
now about that lil R word... at the transplant seminar I went to a few months back they talked about post transplant rejections like this and it shouldn't be panic stations just yet... they modify the meds and just have to remind that body of charee's who is boss (her!!!) so hopefully can get things under control quick smart.
We all certainly hope so!!!!!

I am going over to see Cheree today and I will take my laptop with me so she can get onto IHD and say Hi if she feels up to it. Unfortunately I can't leave my laptop with her as I need it for work but I will drop it off again on Friday night and leave it with her for the weekend so she can have access to the site. Sounds like she could do with all the support she can get at the moment.
I'm going to take over a portable DVD player, earphones and some DVD's so she can block out the "loony" that Wattle told us about. Thanks Wattle for the PM to give me her details at the hospital. I'm off to my neph this morning but I will go and see her straight afterwards. Cindy. xx

Charee, you can even do what I did, for the times you don't have the laptop, just go annoy the night nurses so much that they will let you get on the computer at the nurses station !

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE Live from Charee & Lucinda (I talked to both though I am worried about Cindy's creat levels since she called me gorgeous! ) Charee suffered a mild rejection but they've pumped her full of prednisone and her creat has fallen to 198 (oz numbers) and they are.. drumroll SENDING HER HOME later today!!! WOOHOOO. They tried to get online with Cindy's laptop but no go alas but they were most concerned that everyone hanging out to know what was going on should know ASAP so asked me to post.. so here I am. Russell is trying to get the 'net organised at their unit so hopefully they will be online themselves in a day or two (fingers crossed!) to tell you more! So much happiness, relief and excitement!! Oh and Charee was put on fluid restrictions... not for anything bad with the kidney but because she was drinking too much!! LOL... She was in bright spirits and feeling relatively good!!! So that's awesome news!!!!!
