After the window drains for a few weeks, what do they do then? What causes the fluid to drain there?
I hope he's more comfortable with less pressure, the large hole notwithstanding. BIG hugs for Otto!

We are praying after they pull the drain in 3 weeks the window stays open to let the fluid  drain and be absorbed or pulled out thru D, over time the "pocket" will close. The fluid is lymphatic fluid that is "stuck" in the pocket, in "normal" people you just absorb the fluid but of course this is Otto so he likes to do things diffrent. There is concern the window will close b4 the pocket putting us back where we have been, that is why they made the window so big.

Jeeez that's not good. I have heard that it can reoccur - but was hoping he'd get lucky.
You're overdue for a dose of good luck, I think. Sending you some LOVE!  :grouphug;
