Poor Nelly!!! That is just horrible that people do that. I'm glad she's better, though!!! Thank goodness for that!!

Angela, you said it best, it's the confusion of the season, he's a bit disoriented. Just try all over again! Just think of him as a toddler,
being potty trained.

You really have to wonder what
makes people do some of the things
they do-I am glad that your Nelly  is OK,
I do hope they find out who did such a thing.

Boxman- your pupper is a shih tzu, rite?  She is
so cute, she almost looks like a stuffed animal- I
bet she has you rite around her lil paw for sure!

Angela, I think once the confusion in the house dies
down and things go back to normal, you should have
more luck with the potty training.  I think the main thing
is to be consistant with it, he will catch on.

We got a little pug, PJ (Pugsley Jr.)  Like we really need any more furry friends.  We already have 4.  Jacie, a toy
poodle, Lu, a Jack Russell, Hailey, a black lab, and Harley, a sooner, adopted to play with Hailey in the back yard
because she was a scaredy cat. I have to admit tho he is adorable.  I think he is a keeper.

Ice fishing would be a little to much for her but, next summer she will get a chance to ride in the boat...Boxman

Cyco, I'm going to chime in here too, I really ike that picture, he has the sweetest expression,
and his eyes look soo gentle! I believe it that eyes are the window to our soul.  Especially our
animals.  He was loved, and knew he was your beloved.

Cyco, he is beautiful!  And he does have
that look in his eyes that say "I know my
Mom loves me best!"
Dogs -  they truly know the people who
love them most!

He was just so special - and so clever! He never had obedience training like my other two did later, he was so good anyway. Gosh, if I'd had the forethought to put him into training he could have gone into the trial ring and showed up every border collie, German shepherd and golden retriever in sight!  :)

The 2nd anniversary of his passing is coming up in a few weeks, so I'm thinking about him a lot (and probably ranting a bit). But thanks for all your kind words everyone!

Rob showing off his pot of gold!

Boxman - She is sooooo cute!!!  I would love a small dog, but truly hate the constant yipping.  Does your dog yip a lot?

So sorry to hear about Nelly!  How mean of those people.  I believe what comes around goes around though!

JP - That picture is so adorable, love it!

Cyco - It's so hard when our beloved pets leave us.  I still think about my past pooches.  I have an ornament that I still put on my Christmas tree for my old pooch Snickers who left me 9 years ago.  Our pets just bring us so much joy.

Angela - Don't give up!  Just go back to doing what you were doing and your pooch will soon follow.

This morning I left the house for 10 mins and decided to keep my crazy boy Luke out of his crate.  He did great!  Nothing was ripped up and he didn't pee on anything.  I would love to eventually keep him out of his crate for good when we go out.  I am going to start off slow and work it up.   I never thought pointers were this affectionate.  He is the biggest cuddlebug of a dog I ever had.  Every night he likes to curl up with us, it's even better if a blanket is completely over his body, especially his head.  Right now he's curled up with me on my reclyner chair.

Skyedogrocks, she does not bark (yipe) at all. she will growl when you play tug of war but thats the only sounds so far. She loves to lick though...Boxman

No, he just loves balling up on the cotton we had under the tree, as snow.

Bucky is a long hair Chihuahua. He is also what they call an "applehead", due to the shape of his head. When we found him at a local breeder, he wasn't wanted because he has an underbite, a deformity of that breed and could not be a show dog, like he was bred to be. The woman said if he wasn't bought, she would have let him live his life out in that pet carrier we found him in. Needless to say, I bought him on the spot and I will tell you, the best decision I have ever made, we love him to death here.

Good for you JP.  It's stories like that, that make me feel  we are redeemed after alll.  Imagine,
having to live out his life in a carrier because of an underbite. How horrible.   I think he's adorable,
and would love to see more picture of him.
