She'd want to be - that took me DAYS to put together, that picture. I wasn't very good at Photoshop or any of the other programs I used (I think there were about 3 all up) and needed a lot of help from a friend. It was a painfully slow process.

It's neat to see just how close we are to our pets.

OMG, Babie is just as cute as Bucky Joe,  how are they getting along?  was it rough at first?  I remember how you said Bucky was very protective of you.   :P

Goofynina, they got along fine from the start - Babie plays a little rough, but Bucky stands his ground, its so funny!
Wattle you are right, I should have taken the picture in my PJS, but didn't want to get anyone "fired up"  ;D

I'm not sure if this will work, it might come out too small to read (or too big, screen-wise), but I'd like to post the tribute I did for my dog Diesel in January 2006.

I have two pitbulls and no they are not mean, vicious killers.  Well, Rufus, the white one, might kill you with his breath (he spends all day doing his best to kiss every part of your face.  Rocky, the brindle dog, is part pit and part lab.  I rescued him from my 19 year old neighbors who thought it was cool to have a pitbull but didn't feel like taking care of him properly.  My fiance bought Rufus from some woman who was begging for money for crack (imagine what kind of life he had before).  And of course, I can't forget our cat precious.  She rules the house, both the dogs are afraid of her :).

I'm not personally a cat fan, but your two dogs are beautiful (I'm sure your cat is lovely too).  ;)

Know what you mean though, my dogs could kill people with their breath (and licking).

Chloe was a nursing home therapy dog, actually. I'll send photos soon, from Xmas day a few years back at the nursing home.

How precious your cat and dogs are ILF and thank you for sharing your stories about them, it's a no wonder why they kiss you all over, they are forever grateful to you both for not only saving their lives but for giving them what i believe is a very pampered life.  I have so much respect and admiration for people who not only have pets but who treat them as one of the family.  At the moment i am BEGGING my hubby to let me have a cat and he aint budging (dammit)  oh well, i aint gonna give up thats for sure, he is bound to get tired of me begging and whining sometime (hopefully it is soon)  Much love to you and the pets....  :grouphug;

My dog is afraid of the littlest cat we own.  The siamese cat weighs maybe six pounds at her heaviest and she can back the 47 pound dog up out of the hallway.  It is hilarious to watch the cat just raise a paw and the dog freezes.

Hey Joseph,

Cool dog, thanks for sharing the picture but could you make it smaller preferrably 640x480?

Thanks

We have 2 cats, Woody and Tiger. We gave my mom our cockatiel because the transplant hospital
said NO BIRDS. Now we have adopted my mom's 3 tortoises because she's on chemo and having a
tough time. They are named Tippy (14" male), Speedy (12" male) and Fluffy (2 pix - 10" female) -

Aren't tortoises endangered species and can't be kept as pets? But then what do I know?

The desert tortoise (Gopherus agassizii) is endangered in the wild and is protected under Federal and State laws. It is illegal to buy or sell desert tortoises, or to take them from the desert. In California, a permit is required to possess desert tortoises. No tortoise that has been in possession shall be released into the wild. This is an effort to prevent individual members of the public from returning long term captive tortoises to the wild, a once common practice that is widely suspected to have been a major contributing factor in the spread of the Upper Respiratory Tract Disease epidemic that has devastated the wild population.

These tortoises have been living as pets for many years. It was also recommended that we not release them as they would not adapt to desert living.
