Uninterrupted in-center (self-care) hemodialysis since 1982 -- 34 YEARS on March 3, 2016 !!

No transplant.  Not yet, anyway.  Only decided to be listed on 11/9/06. Inactive at the moment.  ;)
I make films.

Just the facts: 70.0 kgs. (about 154 lbs.)
Treatment: Tue-Thur-Sat   5.5 hours, 2x/wk, 6 hours, 1x/wk
Dialysate flow (Qd)=600;  Blood pump speed(Qb)=315
Fresenius Optiflux-180 filter--without reuse
Fresenius 2008T dialysis machine
My KDOQI Nutrition (+/ -):  2,450 Calories, 84 grams Protein/day.

I saw that comment - too funny!  Like any bear or other wild animal is going to come anywhere near that noisy generator in broad daylight.

Honestly, sluff, I doubt it's that much dirtier than my cat-haired house.  As long as you use aseptic techniques with anything that's going to touch blood, I don't think it's much of a problem.

I seen this lady on YouTube long before I got my NxStage. Between her, Bill and Adam, this is the reason I got one. I plan on doing this in the woods as well. Anything to get out of this chair and have a change of scenery..

I'd do that in a heartbeat but my husband only likes serious wilderness camping that you fly into on a pontoon plane with whitewater and canoes involved, hopefully seeing not another soul for the duration, hanging food packs in trees , maximum exposure to winged insects, the occasional bear "encounter" and freezing water temperatures SO...I'm gonna pass.  But for sure I'd take my Nxstage to a spa.  Ahh a nice reflexology treatment while I cleanse my red fluid...now we're talking.
