I had been feeling run down, getting tired too quickly, and had noticed that I was losing a lot of weight. When the blood tests came back, I was directed to take myself to hospital, as my creatinine was 1900 umol/L. That was August 19, and I am still in hospital. The catheter for PD has been inserted, but I have not began dialysis. The doctors are still working on determining why my kidneys are failing.

Welcome to the site.  I bet those doctors are standing around saying "Let's do another test."  Good luck with all of it and your PD road.

Welcome! I hope your doctors may find the cause of the kidney problems real soon. When they do, learn as much as you can, for knowledge is a weapon. The more you know about it, the better you can take care of yourself.

Welcome to ihatedialysis.com Dwayne,

Sorry to hear about your kidneys failing and I hope they will soon have answers. Answers or not the inevitable is clear, you must start dialysis. You have come to the right place for answers, suggestions, and the best place to talk with people who know what you are going through.
