we got our emergency information on our dialysis treatments in case the hurricane brings any problems
so...
my husband and I are going to stay in the Flagstaff Hotel over the Gulf of Mexico tonight
we are evacuating to the hurricane ???
I want to cancel but my husband has been looking forward to this
he starts back to long, long hours of football and scouting teams and all of that
so...
I like sharks but do not care to be on their dinner menu
so..
I am drinking wine and eating shrimp and oysters and new potatoes
and this is after many, many years of marriage
God knows I deserve it :beer1;

I think that was the one from last week

enjoy reading your posts

police man stopped me once for not stopping long enough at a stop sign in our neighborhood with no cars anywhere around
I was trying to decide to vomit out the window or in a McD cup--- it was right after dialysis
I got the ticket but we know a judge so it cost me nothing
should have barfed on the police man

now Twirl, the police man was just doing his job, and if you had barfed on him, I'm sure (if he's at all compassionate) he would have let you go. Though I know one or two around here who might not, if they were having a bad day to begin with.

Anyway, be careful, but enjoy the hurricane...we always pigged out on junk food and drank a lot of alcohol when we had a hurricane going through. Of course, I was a lot younger then!

We might be having one soon! Severe weather here now and Tornado warning. Not a good thing in the dark.
Forgot to get alcohol though, but have pork and beans downstairs. Need the alcohol to deal with that. :rofl; :rofl;

you may have to go to doc but this should be a photo of the hotel
we were on the other side where our patio was over the water -
after we left we heard that someone had to be rescued who jumped from the hotel into the water

Sluff ----  :yahoo; were are you?    please click doc

we stayed on the side not showing ---- right over the water- we watched surfers all night long-- the waves got pretty high --- I was hoping a shark or two would come along but no such luck---- but there were fish in the water we could see but they were little-
saw all kinds of new crews
got very little bad weather until the drive home :banghead;
we slept on the balcony until the rain came down to hard
( I only had one wine cooler)
we ate shrimp that tasted like it just jumped out of the Gulf and into our plates

Twirl,
How did you get the photos from your camera to your computer? CD from photo retailer, a connection from camera to computer, off the memory card from the camera...etc
Which program are you using to get the photos from your camera to a file? Such as Camera's software, Windows Picture and Scan Wizard....etc
It should not be saving pictures as a .doc file unless a setting was changed some how and that is messing everything up. Give me as much detail and, but I believe it is a setting that is messed up. Hopefully you have not deleted any pictures from memory card in case corrrecting the settings does not help the files already saved.

the photos I use are already on the internet or on my documents or my photo
I cop and paste and save to my desktop
then go to IHD and find where I want to place the photo
write captions
go to additional options
browse
then find the correct photo
and place post
do not use preview
and that's it
but I don't know how to make the photo appear without having to click doc

Twirl,
When you save a photo, there are two boxes when doing so. The top box is for naming the file, the bottom box is for the file type. In the bottom box, make sure it says .jpg. While naming the file, type .jpg at the end of the file name such as

 :pics;
chris.jpg
Not[/b]

chris.doc

Stopping to smell the bluebonnets

« Reply #20 on: August 30, 2008, 07:27:47 PM »

Twirly,
I am packing up the pups' things and the kitty supplies. My husband does not want to evacuate, but if this thing keeps going the way it is and stays a category 4, I am out the door! I am just waiting for the district to say it is closed and encouraging evacuation. We will head to the Conroe area. Hope that is far enough!

If there's anything good that can be said about hurricanes, it's the fact that you have plenty of warning and time to get out.
