Me with Baron von Fresenius

« on: August 20, 2008, 01:59:03 PM »

I finally saw my surgeon and he officially confirmed that I have a right inguinal hernia, and I go in Monday the 25th to have it fixed. He said I will be off of PD another six weeks while it heals. I can live with that. At least pd is still in my future.

It is what was causing the dialysate leak that made me have to temporarily stop PD. Once it's fixed and completely healed, I shouldnt have anymore leaking, and I should  be able to go back to pd. (i hate typing with a brokeen wrist)

My older son had the same surgery, twice, once on each side. Recovery was quick and he just had to take it easy for a short time. Good luck!

Oh Adam I'm sorry you have to have surgery but I'm glad they can sort the leak out and you can get back on PD.  Hope this is the start of your luck turning round  :cuddle;.  You're doing well to type at all with a broken wrist, without spell check mine would be cr*p without a broken wrist  :rofl;
