My Family

when I wrote easrlier I mentioned that I wanted to quir dialysis as I was being a drag on my Wife and family. They had all been informed earlier that I did not want to end up in a nursing home. Now dialysis has me right next door. Earlier I mentioned that I would kill my self soon. After a deep discussion with my dr and the social worked I spelled out my plan. I have had to delay that option due to the financial situation on Wall street. Dialysis is not really helping me and they want me to increase my time by 30 minutes. I refused this but did settle for 10 minutes.
After I find out in dece, ber where my wife will stand with my pensions I willo make the final decision. Since she would be very distraught caring foer me at home we have settled on my going to a hospise for my final weeks. I have been organizing all my affairs accordingly and they are all at ease with them.
Botgh my DW and I have willed our bodies to the Medical College of WI so all funeral and cremation expenses are covered.. I know that some on here will think me batty but I am me and will always be that way
Should I not write again I wish all of you the best. Live your life to fullestand enjoy what the LORD has provided us with

It's wise of you to take the time to make sure everything is in order. That's also what my 2nd husband did when we knew death was close...we just had an evening of coffee and candlelight, I wrote and he talked and then we had all the signatures done. Actually very peaceful for us althought he had nothing to leave anyone except his art, buckle and knife collection but he named people that he wanted to have each piece, at least he got to do that and the pieces are all scattered among my family members so I still get to see them at times and the kids all had their chance at closure too. I don't think you are being crazy at all, just very thoughtful. I'm also getting things "in order" basically because I don't ever want my kids to have to rearrange their lives to fix my end. I just need to make arrangements to donate my body as I want done. My family knows how I feel about quality of life and I think I will feel better living life once I have all this in order.
Thank you southyard for giving us your time that you have.

Southyard, thank you so much for taking the time to include us in the process you're going through. It's always a good idea to get things in order and also to keep talking to your family as well as your doctor and social worker about where you're at with your decision.
I wish you all possible peace and am very happy to have met you here.
