We are told we cant give gifts to staff. Because some patients cant afford it. And get hurt. Not even any time of yr.but the head nurse knows joe,a patient brings pasteries he buys every treatment for the techs, nurses, and a patient brought bird houses he had made in to the unit to sell, and the head nurse bought 2! And accepts flowers from another, and techs bought bcy clothes from a patients husband. Ect, when I wanted to sell a few coach handbags.real- like new. A couple techs wanted them to buy,but were scared to. Said theres a rule. And head nurse said it wouldnt be appropriate! Yet she herself has bought from patients.and allows a couple patients to bring in food for staff! Its bullshit. She doesnt go by what she says.

My wife bakes for my group of nurses (there are 5) and when we leave the centre to go on home HD there is often a present for the nurse who had responsibilty for training. And why not?...they are a wonderful bunch of ladies.
I don't know about selling them stuff, though.
