So my parents went to Palm Springs and had a great time- that is until they attempted to get home! They were supposed to arrive home at around 10:30 pm on Friday- Yesterday. Well their first flight was late getting to Chicago so they missed the flight, and were told the flight they were going to catch in place of the original flight was full. They ended up having to spend over 24 hrs at O'Hare! They had no place to sleep and ended up sleeping on a golf cart. On top of that they had no food and it was freezing cold. And the ppl there were rude as well.

I hope that something like that doesn't happen to me lol. I know it's not that funny, but the whole situation seems so unreal!~

Oh, Karen, I am so sorry about your parent's experience.  The sad thing is that I think this is becoming an almost commonplace occurrence in airports.  I have heard quite a few similar stories in the past few years from friends.  I hope they had a nice time while they were away at any rate!

That usually doesn't happen unless in the case of bad weather. I hope it is not the beginning of normal. That had to be 24 hours from hell.

That is awful.  I don't know what is going on, but everything, everywhere, is falling apart.
And it doesn't look like its going to get better.  Glad your parents finally got home safely.

Love, Mimi
