Her royal highness Queen Ruth on her throne, RIP

« on: June 05, 2009, 06:57:29 PM »

I was just in the hospital Monday-Thursday this week. I have peritonitis. After 4 days of IV antibiotics, they have sent me home with antibiotics to put in my PD bags. I am glad to be back home, I missed my King Leon. The hospital would not allow him to visit me. They have a strict no cats allowed policy.

Being in the hospital sucks. There is no place like home!

How are you feeling?

Thinking of you.  Hope it's all cleared up.  Haven't had the dreaded peritonitis - keeping my fingers crossed.

Welcome back Mikey. What kind of a hospital is that, that they won't let your best friend visit?

To answer your questions:

I had some pain, not too bad. I went to the ER as soon as the abdominal pain started. They offered me heavy pain killers which I declined. I took tylenol for a couple of days. That also helped with the fever that I had the first day until the antibiotics kicked in. I am feeling much better. I am mostly just tired. I can't comment on the hospital not allowing my kitty to visit. I just think that policy needs to be changed.

I second that...what's wrong with 'those' people?

Also, it sounds like you know what to expect  (I watched your you-tube vids) as
regards to how to deal with early warning signs....dialysis tech indeed!

I'm glad you are home but hate that you have been back to the hospital.  King Leon wants you to feel better and stay home!  We've missed you, too.   :grouphug;

Good to hear you're feeling better - now just take a catnap whenever you need it!
Speaking of cats - don't they realize that Ling Leon is FAMILY for crying out loud?!?
