The pain tends to last about a week and makes it hard to try and straighten up , so you tend to walk bent over for a while ! Once everything starts healing inside the pain goes pretty quickly . Hope it gets better soon and just try to rest for now

Glad to hear all is well, and that you seem to have a caring team at the center.  That helps so much!  Get to healing and get lots of rest!

Congratulations on successful placement and surgery.  Can't wait until you are on PD to hear those stories.

Best wishes.

Glad the surgery went OK As Kickstart has said, it will be painful for about a week then it well start to get better and within 3 weeks you should be pain free. Also just a word about the PD catheter, you'll forget it's there most of the time, there's no sense of discomfort, all you have to do is keep it clean and follow the hiegene routine rigourously. Keep us posted especially when you start PD training.
Best of Luck
