The pic looks great. I know the story of it, but would love to hear about the tat and everything else going on since your transplant!

My older brother and me (I'm on the right)

« Reply #2 on: January 28, 2008, 05:58:12 PM »

That's my new transplant tattoo.  I actually got it 3 1/2 months after my transplant.  There are two stone rings that link together, this symbolizes unity between my brother and I (he did give me a kidney).  Inside the left ring is the Chinese symbol for older brother and in the other there is the Chinese symbol for younger brother.  At the top of my brother's ring is the word LIFE, since he gave me a second chance in life.  At the bottom of his ring is PER - his initials.  On the top of my ring there is our transplant date - 07-31-07, at the bottom are my initials - MCR.  The black rays extended from the back are ray of lights, which they stand for new beginning.

I love the tattoo and love telling about it, thanks for asking.  Hopefully the pictures I attach will let you see it better.

It is beautiful. I am so gald to see you were able to get it done. It was something you had posted about wanting to do. The symbolism is great!
