Her royal highness Queen Ruth on her throne, RIP

« on: February 27, 2008, 06:42:43 AM »

My name is Mike and I am a 41 year old guy living in NJ.  I started Hemo 2 weeks ago and am waiting for surgery for the catheter for PD.  I have had diabetes for over 20 years and had renal cancer 3 years ago which took my left kidney. I am looking forward to exchanging information with everyone here about experiences in all that is dialysis.

Hi Everyone,

I am currently doing in center hemo. I am going for the PD catheter placement next Wednesday.  I can't wait--- I am sick of clotting and having the nurses get mad at me for clotting.

Thanks for the warm welcome, it really is appreciated.

Hi Mike!!!

Are you planning on using the cycler after being trained on PD?? If so, you'll love it, if you're one of the
fortunate ones that can do it! I am, I'm actually better with it than I am with the manual. Go figure!!

Welcome aboard.  I would say pull up a chair, put on the glasses or a reading lamp and get to posting! Enjoy yourself here. There is a lot to read and think about.
