As my six year old son was getting ready for school the other day ,he pulled up his zipper and
let out a cry . Looking over I saw him finishing pulling up the zipper . I asked . did you hurt yourself.
With a whimper he said yes .  I sort of laughed and told him he needed to be careful when zipping up
his pants as things could get hurt .  He looked at me quizically and I sat down and explained what could
happen when pulling up the zipper and that it was a good idea to wear underwear with zippered pants.
He explained he wears underwear!!!  after a few minutes of explaining he looked at me and said that
he had only scratched himself with a sharp finger nail.
