World's Best Beach..Lanikai..Oahu, Hawaii

« on: December 22, 2007, 09:57:02 PM »

Our city of Santa Clarita has it's own Christmas street, Court Land Way.  People come from miles around to cruise and walk the street and to attend the many Christmas parties taking place in the garages and on the driveways.

Photos taken handheld, no flash using a Canon Digital Rebel XTI DSLR and Canon 15-55 mm image stabilizer lens.

One of my favorite activities is driving around at night, oohing and aahing at the lights. Thank you for the pictures.

thanks for sharing, LC! Your pictures, as always, are wonderful. I'm curious, the train in the last picture, is it a drop-off point for Toys for Tots? If so, what a neat idea!

Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas to you too!

In South Dakota, we used to go around a certain area and look at their lights. We had stuff like 'Reindeer Lane' and everyone on that street did reindeers in their theme, 'Snowman Lane', 'Santa Clause Lane'. 'Candy Cane Lane' and so on and so on. It was awesome, and I love it when a community comes together like that and participates in something for the happiness of others.  :thumbup;

Yes it is the drop off point for Toys for Tots..the family there has been doing that for years.  Right across the street you can get a little mistletoe for $1..the displays on that street are a tradition up this way.
