I have a traveling questioin

Okay so my great uncle who lives in Denver just passed away yesterday. I was able to talk my dad out of driving down yesterday right after he had D. He was planing on going down there while he he has his brake over the weekend. He isn't due in clinic till Tuesday. But I was really worried, that is a 7 hour trip from here. And that isn't an all that easy for someone in good health let alone someone who just had Dialysis, and part of his colon removed a few weeks ago. I talked him into flying, so for a while there he was just gonna fly. But he is back to driving. He is gonna wait until he can get a treatment or two set up down there. That I am very happy for cause he isn't' going to try and be crazy about it. But he is planing on driving the whole way. He is taking my uncle who can't drive and my grandmother who can't drive. I am freaking out. I don't think this is a good idea at all. Am I over reacthing? Is there any tips I can give my father to make the trip better? I tell you my father is going to drive me crazy!

What did your dad end up deciding? Sounds like it would be a good idea to set up dialysis while out of town so he isn't forced to race back for treatment.

He is going to drive out there. I got the address that they needed to set up a treatment out there. I feel better knowing he is gonna have at least one treatment out there. Still worried about the dirve though.

I get ya! My dad is 82 and insists on still driving! Even right after he got out of the hospital for chest pain. It scares me, but what can we do?
Will he have a cell phone with him? Maybe he can call you each time they make a pit stop to put your mind at ease a little.

Doesn't the clinic where he nows dialyzes at, have to make the arrangements for him to dialyze somewhere else?

You can easily judge the character of others by how they treat those who they think can do nothing for them. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE SOOOOO TRUE!
