Hi All,

I am KensGirl and I am Ken's wife and primary caregiver. We have been married 30 years and live in the Pacific Northwest.

I found this site several months ago and have been lurking.  It is such a wonderful place and I am glad that I've decided to join so that I can relate to others who 'get it'.

Ken started in-center hemodialysis over 21 years ago and that has been his treatment of choice ever since. After so many years, he has several complications, including complete blindness as of 2 years ago. With all that to contend with I have to say he is the MOST amazing person I've ever had the pleasure to know. He never lets it get him down, even on days when he runs too dry, etc.

Anyway, thank you for letting me join your wonderful forum.

Hi Kensgirl,  I'm in Spokane, WA.  I'm so glad you joined.  Yes Ken is amazing.  I'm having trouble with my vision and don't want to go on with dialysis.  You must be worth the fight he fights.  Yes, we all "get it".  It is amazing how many people out there don't.

Hope you keep coming around.
