« on: October 05, 2007, 09:40:39 PM »

WOW! I was going to get my nieces some M&M's with "Happy Birthday (Name)" on them... but not after I seen the prices.

www.mymms.com

I think their a very kewl idea, but very overpriced... at least for a 6 yr old and a 5 yr old...  :lol; Now for a wedding, I would do it.. or even a transplant ;) However at that young of an age they would just be like YAY candy.. lol.

What do you all think?

Angela, I agree. At those ages, they're just going to say "yay candy" and not care what they say. Wait until their sweet 16 birthdays for stuff like that.

Hershey's has a similar thing with the Kisses Wrappers. Then there are special chocolate cards that can be made with names and not to mention the 5 lbs candy bar that can have a special engraving. I wish i had some chocolate now!

After my transplant, the Food Network had a show called Unwrapped. The show was featuring chocolates and they showed a 10 pound candy bar. Went to their website to find where I could get it. I got it, but needed a hammer to break it apart for pieces. Only took a week and a half to finish by myself. It may have cost less and be bigger than the Hershey bar, but Hershey taste waaaaay better.

My kids and I love Unwrapped. I love chocolate. The is a candy factory not far from us. I love the big boxes of irregulars. I don't go there often because when I buy it I eat too much.

We were going to order M&M's for my son's wedding but they were
too expensive.  Here in central Ohio the Krogers have small bags of
scarlet and gray M&M'ss for the Buckeyes on sale.  After the football season
they are rreduced a lot.  Last year I got some for stocking stuffers for my
boys.  That was a fun thing.  They used them for the championship game.

I liked the white chocolate M&M's that were out for the movie Pirates of the Carribean. I haven't seen them around lately.

Sometimes this site has chocolates that were limited
www.hometownfavorites.com  You can either buy a carton of something or individual chocolate candy.
Another site from the show Unwrapped.

When I was very young (probably under 4,I have no memory of this), my Grandmother bought me a three foot tall chocolate Easter rabbit. My parents gave it away. Wish I at least had a photo. I love chocolate. When I was younger and healthy (way before dialysis) I would buy one-Pound Chunky bars and eat them at one sitting. I used to eat a whole bag of M and M's also.
