Greeting Friends,

Hi...my name is Lyn, I'm from the Philippines and presently living in Canada, Toronto area. Somebody had given me this website.... and  indeed it's a wonderful website that will gives us all a chance to relate and shares each other's views. experiences, gives each other's support and knowledge about the illnesses itself. I too a dialysis patient (CAPD) for the past 12 years...it all started back in '94. Been doing dialysis even since and trying to get through one day at a time.

To the kind ladies who launched and started this website .... MANY THANKS! Hoping to meet new friends here. Good Luck Everyone and God Bless.

Welcome to the Message Board.  However, it is a gentleman we have to thank for this website , Epoman, not ladies.

Hi Lyn,

Welcome to the site.  It is a very neat site.  Even if you have a "good" day go ahead and share it with us.

I understand you thinking this site was done by a "woman" because it is perfect!   ;D  (JK Epoman)

welcome Lynn I am still not sure of epoman's gender either... he could be a woman. J/K  But rerun is all woman and she has been doing a great job (even with her big head from becoming a mod.) and all have something to offer here even if it is just a great rant or some off the wall humor.  We could alluse a lot of both.  So come and post often eh or take off to your great white north as my heros the McKenzie brothers would say!

Welcome Lyn!  I am the spouse of a dialysis patient, here to learn more about what he's going through.  He is also from the Philippines, but living here for the last 20 years or so.  He was born in Olongapo City - which area are you from?

Hello there Sara..Hi and good Wednesday afternoon to you all. Well, I have just read some of your posts here and of what you're going through at the moment, and I totally understand your situation as well. I honestly agree with the other person's comments here that your husband is indeed a very lucky man to have you in his life. So, your husband is also a Filipino....well, I'm from Dagupan City of Pangasinan. He might probably know that area if you'd ask him. Although it's quite far from where he's from, but most likely knows where Dagupan City is (famous for Bonuan bangus!)

I am doing a CAPD Sara, managing my own treatment at home and at work too. But what makes it a little tougher though is that I'm living all alone here in Canada. I got through alright so far over the years of being on dialysis. As for me, it has got to do more of being positive on everything , willingness to fight to live, support of family and friends and most importantly FAITH in the Almighty. So hang in there Sara....my prayers are with you and your husband as well. Everything will be alright! KIndly say "Hello" also to your husband for me....(say from your co-Filipino who is now living in the Toronto area)

Take care and all the best to you and your husband Sara....God Bless
