In da House.

To pass time ? I know many of us (not all) are pretty isolated as friends have dropped us . So how do you fill your days ? Are there things you can do on your own ? I know we can go for walks , but you have to stay safe nowadays , so some beautiful walks can be out of bounds (too isolated) . What can you do that doesnt cost a fortune , is fun and you can do on your own ?

Tuesdays and Thursdays are my days off of dialysis. So on those days i always try and get out. My brother has a swimming pool so i go over there and walk through the water for exercise. I go to thrift shops and try and find cameras and watches cause i collect them. I can't walk too far but when the weather is nice not too hot i like to go to flea markets. When inside i like to listen to music play around on the computer and write poetry.

i am a 51 year old male on dialysis for 3 years now. This is my second time. My brother donated a kidney to me about 13 years ago. I found this site on another site. I had to laugh when i saw what it was called. I hope to meet people from all over to talk about dialysis.

I enjoy reading a lot.
I enjoy music.
I spend time on the computer.
I used to do exercise bike and hope to start that again as soon as foot allows.
Crossword puzzles, search-a-words, jigsaw puzzles.
few tv shows.
prayer, always so much to pray about.
love to visit with my grandson.  :)
I am blessed as I have not lost any friends but my friends have really been there for me.
I love and appreciate them.

I like to thrift store and antique when I have time.  Don't need money to look.

Yes, people have walked away from us.....lol.....

I love to read,

I have been loading my ipod with movies a lot recently since I now have to sit for four hours while waiting for my husband and then I can watch my movies and some TV shows I never got to see from the get go like Sex and the City and Cold Case.......

I am usually very busy with my husband so I really don't have much time on my hands but we plan to go to Great America, the zoo, Art Institute, and the history museum to see "sue the t-rex" before the summer is over.....

My husband just passes time with the TV since he loves to watch sports and the news and he is really into politics....."pssst....don't bring up Bush to him".....lol......

I get very very bored in "these four walls". Especially when my husband is at work.

I like to read, love it. Have always loved it. Unfortunately, these days, I can only read for a short time before it makes me sleepy. I don't understand why this happens!
I like listening to music.
I like to go out to the shops just to do basic messages like checking my post box - it's just a way of getting fresh air.
I enjoy walking the dogs, though I'm having problems with pain in my ankles.

This week I have also been back to the employment agency I used to do temping for, and have put myself back on the books, so hopefully I'll get some temp assignments soon and be working again. Not full time just yet - I've asked for short-term assignments. I think this will thoroughly maintain my sanity at this point!
