I don't live there... however, I just drove over that exact 1-35W bridge hours before it happened.. I drove over it to come home from my brother's house.... very scary.

Hey guy's I live in MN this bridge is a major part of the Twin Cities, still can't believe this has happened i have driven over that bridge a million times. Otto actually was running late to get to Wisconsin and was on 35 but got off 2 exits before to go around because of traffic, if he had not been late???? So very sad

This is a horrible tragedy.  To think that a bridge you use every day just suddenly buckles and colapses underneath you scares the piss out of me.

I also live in the area and have used that bridge many times. It is certainly a tragedy and will have an impact on travel in the Twin Cities for a long time. I feel so bad for the families who still do not know what has happened to their family members. Some of the victims are in the hospital and still unidentified and there are still people (bodies) in cars in the river under the bridge piece in the water.

They just said on the news that they have gone from a rescue mission to a salvage mission.  It is believed that they have found all the survivors they will find and are now hunting remains.

On several trips through the Minneapolis-St. Paul area, I've gone across that bridge at least three times. I just thank the Lord that this wasn't worse then it was, although it was definitely bad enough.

In paper this morning there is a picture of a lady and her baby that are missing i really had hoped no children where involved, I thank God there were 4 lanes shut down for resurfacing this could have been so much worst. We know somebody who had just crossed over and stopped to start helping people to safety he said he will never take life for granted again.

The news said there are approximately 160,000 bridges in the US that are in need of repair or replacement.  Scary.

Can't even tell you how much worse it is in person, it's like being on a movie set and wanting someone to yell cut. Seeing this is unexplainable.
