Wade and I.

« on: July 22, 2007, 04:57:42 PM »

Seriously. And i'm not an idiot.

I've had the crappy, cheap ones in college and apartments before. They didn't do much. Luckily, in my ;ast 3 apartments, I had really nice big built-in ones. Now, Wade and I are in our new place and there's no microwave.

I went to Target today and was so overwhelmed. I liked one that was red, but I think it's because it was red.  :banghead;

I'm looking to spend under $100 (much less if possible) and get something durable. Do any of you have any sugestions? Gah! So silly.

No you aren't.  I hate buying appliances, especially toasters.  I've thrown out more than I can count.  :banghead;

We have a KitchenAid microwave that I love.  It's about 5 years old, so our model probably isn't available anymore, but it still works and looks like new.   And we use it a lot.

Walmart has one for 29.95.  It was a little one.

Just go for a name brand and you should be ok with the durability.  The higher the wattage the more "cooking" power it has and then you want to consider size of the unit and feature you may be interested in.  A rotating dish and different cook modes are two features I would go for.  Heck, bring Wade to make the purchase with you, he will make a god decision.  Don't feel bad about being a sucker for the flashy looking appliances, I like them too.

my last one came from wal-mart. full size and under $100. lasted over 10 years. only got rid of it because i was moving in with my daughter and then my grandson tried to make himself macaroni and cheese by putting the box in and turning it on.  :rofl;

Did it work- the box of macaroni and cheese in the microwave?  I can see that mess.
