Well I got the news today from my donor and the doctors at the Portland Maine Transplant Unit that she is a perfect match and we are scheduled for the surgery on Sept 4th coming up. I am a little scared because reality hit me today that it is official. That's only 2 1/2 months away. I will keep everyone informed on what is going on. If anyone has some advice please let me know as I'd appreciate it. Looks like my prayers are gonna be answered.

Yay! That's awesome news! I'm so happy for you. The time will go by so fast too. My advice is don't freak yourself out too much. The experience isn't as scary as it seems. Also, bring stuff to keep you entertained at the hospital. I got really bored of tv. If you have any questions about anything, feel free to ask. Again, congratulations!!!  :yahoo;  :clap;  :bandance;

Congratulations Blue..Now you can start planning the rest of your life without dialysis, with all you want to drink, and with you able to eat whatever you want (except for grapefruit).

Good luck and god bless.
