Well we just got back from our mini vacation and first time with taking my nxstage "out".  We packed up supplies enough for four treatments and that was alot!  And that cycler is pretty heavy!  My husband said after moving it and all the stuff that maybe going to a site (clinic) where we travel is a better way to go.  There is a TON of stuff you have to take and all the bags plus that heavy machine is a bear to move if you don't have the carrier (we didn't have the carrier because the staff only has one and it was being used already.)  But then when we where in the hotel and I could set my own schedule and everything went well I told him that this is definately worth not having to deal with strange nurses and that damn clinic and also going in at whatever hour they have available.  He agreed too.  Anyway, it all went well and now we are back home.  Thanks nxstage for some freedom!

I'm sure after you do this a few times you will streamline things a little and it will get easier. Thanks to your husband for being a trooper. Glad things went well otherwise. :)

Hi Kidney4Traci,  i am on PD and i too know what its like to have to travel with all the supplies, but like you said, it beats having to deal with unfamiliar people in an unfamiliar place.  If and when my Peritoneum gives out (which i pray to God it outlives me) :P   :bow;   I am going to definetly look into the NxStage just so i am able to travel a little more with ease.  Glad you are happy with it ;)  Keep on keepin' on my friend  :2thumbsup;
