Hi!
My encounter with kidney disease (MPGN type 3) began May 2005 during pregnancy, I grew progressively worse which resulted in me being placed on hemo dialysis in December of 2006.
Hemo did not work well for me I experienced a reversed effect, my BP would rise during each session, so I switched over to PD which is working well.
I am currently being evaluated for a transplant at UPMC in Pittsburgh, Pa. my finial work up is mainly dental. My father is also being evaluated as a possible donor.
I am married, have two children 19, and 21 months.
Before this disease I worked as a case manager, but due to feeling tired all the time and tending to baby I had to quit my job. I hope at some point I can return to work.
This site has provided me with valuable information, and helped me through difficult times.
